Board meetings are an excellent occasion to discuss company-wide strategies, define how various departments contribute to achieving these goals and create actions items that CEOs can communicate to their teams. Directors should be focusing on the topic at hand, whether the board is meeting in person or via online. It’s not a good time to check social media or catch up on emails and it’s advisable to avoid interrupting other members of the board. This will allow the board members to be more productive and also keep the tone professional. This will also assist in cultivate healthy relationships which is crucial when discussing a strategic company.
